With Mother's Day around the corner, it's a time when I look back and think all the things my Mom did for me and how I'm now a Mom mom as well. With a two year-old and another on the way in less six weeks, I understand so much better what it means to be a mother and the awesome responsibility and joys that come with it. Not to mention the perks!

I'd like to share some of my favorite treats.
I'm secretly hoping that my husband is reading this and I'll receive one of them myself ;)

My choices have something in common: they're successful young businesses with women founders. I have a lot of admiration for what they've created, both in style and the way they've grown. Supporting them contributes to making the dream grow. Here we go...

1. Big Love Burlap Wrapped Bouquet - FarmGirl Flowers

FarmGirl Flowers offers a creative twist on the traditional bouquet. Not only are the flowers beautiful and the arrangements unique, but they come in burlap bags and, in many locations, are delivered by bicycle. What a cute detail.
The combination is amazing and the cost only a little more than traditional options. This is my favorite flower shop in San Francisco.

2. BBrazil

For the Mom with a passion for exercise or who just wants to be comfortable in everyday clothes, BBrazil has options with style and conscience. Each legging is made by hand by a seamstress in Brazil, using locally sourced fabrics. If she likes a special touch, BBrazil offers laser cut designs that stand out.
The pieces are fun to wear and makes Mom look great, too. I'm sure this would be welcome present for many of my girlfriends.

3. B Patisserie

I had to include this pastry shop because it's my #1 personal addiction. As in "get help, girl, this thing's gone too far."
The pastries are all unbelievable, so come with an appetite. My best suggestion is to plan ahead, get there early to avoid the lines and make it a brunch. If the weather cooperates, snag a seat outside.

I recommend everything.

My favorites are: chocolate banana almond croissant, passion fruit bostock (cake), passion fruit iced tea, and any and all tartines.
Be ready to eat more than you counted on and plan for $40 per person for brunch.

4. TinyB chocolate

tinyB chocolate started 3 years ago in San Francisco, but it really started 30 years ago in my mother's kitchen in southern Brazil. That's where my Mom introduced me to brigadeiros and the joy of making my favorite chocolate in the world. Maybe the best chocolate in the world.
I'm so proud to continue the tradition and be able to share the love by celebrating very special Moms.

Great food is made with natural ingredients, that's why I make tinyB's with local, gluten-free and organic ingredients and use no preservatives.

We would be delighted to help you celebrate!
